PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS COVERED WITH GROUP HEALTH
GROUP HEALTH COVERAGE WITH PRE-EXISTING CONDITION
One of the great benefits of group health insurance is that pre-existing conditions can, in most cases, be covered immediately. With individual plans companies either offer limited pre-ex coverage or none at all. Often they will put “riders” or “waivers” on pre-existing conditions. But with group health coverage, if the insured can provide a “Certificate of Insurance” which proves that he/she has been insured for 12 full months without more than a 63 day gap, that individual will be covered for all pre-existing conditions on the group coverage.
Group coverage is especially valuable because it enables us to accept employees who are in relatively but not perfect good health. They might not be able to get coverage on an individual plan but can get coverage on a group health plan and what more their pre-existing conditions would be covered. So being able to provide international group health insurance is a tremendous aid to recruiting new employees.
