The Optional Hazardous Sports Rider is available for the adventurous traveler. For an additional 20% premium, this Rider adds coverage for the Amateur sports listed below.

  • No height restrictions on mountaineering and rope climbing
  • Non-contact and non-organized/non- sanctioned amateur sports or athletic activities engaged in by the Member solely for leisure, recreational, entertainment or fitness.
  • Mountaineering where ropes or guides are normally used
  • Aviation (except when traveling solely as a passenger in a commercial aircraft)
  • Hang gliding, skydiving, parachuting or bungee jumping
  • Snow skiing or snowboarding, except for recreational downhill and/or cross country snow skiing or snowboarding (no cover provided whilst skiing away from prepared and marked in-bound territories and/or against the advice of the local ski school or local authoritative body); and Racing by any animal or motorized vehicle
  • Spelunking
  • Sub-aqua pursuits involving underwater breathing apparatus
  • Jet skiing
  • Any other sport or athletic activity which is undertaken for thrill seeking and exposes the Member to abnormal or extraordinary risk of Injury.
  • All amateur motor cross sports as long as not a team competition
  • Team competitions are not covered such as a league, sports team, school team, etc.
  • Professional sports are not covered

TRAVEL GUARD TRIP INSURANCE WITH ADVENTURE SPORTS COVERAGE

  • All adventure sports is covered except participation in contests of speed, motor sport or motor racing including training or practice for the same
  • Coverage plan starts the day you walk out your residence on the trip till the time you come back to your residence from your trip
  • Trips must start and end from the US
  • For coverage in the US as well as for overseas coverage
  • This plan is used as your primary insurance
  • No major medical insurance in the USA is needed to use this plan

BUPA ADVENTURE SPORTS TRAVEL INSURANCE TO INCLUDE RESCUE COVERAGE

  • Full contact sports covered plus no restrictions on hazardous sports or occupations (except motorsports)
  • No deductible, period
  • Unlimited medical and evacuation coverage
  • Additional non-medical option and trip cancellation option also if desired
  • Covers worldwide outside policy holder country of residence
  • Covers rescue but does not cover search
  • The Worldwide Health Options provides coverage for hazardous sports or occupations, therefore these sports or occupations do not have to be done solely for leisure, recreational, entertainment or fitness. For example a professional surfer, would be covered for surfing, another example a pilot or someone learning to fly would also be covered.

  • Coverage period from 30 days to 6 months for non-contact sports
  • Medical coverage combined with evacuation coverage of $50,000
  • Deductible of $250
  • Coverage for U.S. citizens traveling outside the U.S.
  • Non U.S. citizens traveling outside their country of citizenship with coverage to also include the U.S.
