ABOUT INTERNATIONAL MESSENGERS
Good Neighbor Insurance is one of the best known international insurance brokerages serving non-profit organizations and businesses overseas. One of those groups is International Messengers.
Each of our groups is different and because they are doing great work, we’d like to tell you more about them.
International Messengers is an evangelical missions organization comprised of an international staff. They are known for their family atmosphere as a mission and for their trust-based leadership model. They also serve a niche in the missions world as the “mission of the second chance.”
IM has missionary training centers in Jinja, Uganda; Libby, Montana; Odessa, Ukraine; and in North Africa. They allow missionaries personal freedom to determine the direction of their ministries and work to provide solid care for them.
International Messengers receives 35-40 requests a year from their overseas missionaries for adult short-term missionary teams. Thet provide preparation/missionary training materials for individuals and teams along with 5-17 hours of orientation depending on short-term team needs. IM regularly sends families as part of these teams. Their goal is to disciple adult short-termers as they work to serve our missionaries, as well as offer exposure to what long-term missions is like for interested individuals and families.
On working with Good Neighbor Insurance:
“When I joined International Messengers (IM), I had years of business experience but absolutely no familiarity with insurance. As part of my job with IM, I inherited the “insurance administrator” role and began working with Good Neighbor Insurance (GNI). Jeff Gulleson walked me through the process of managing and evaluating our current policy. I found that GNI was a unique company staffed by people who had been overseas on the field and understood the unique needs of a group like ours.
Over the 11 years I have worked with them I have found an exceptional commitment, not only to stellar service on their part, but a genuine concern for our staff as well. Just recently, after the disaster in Nepal, the staff contacted me to inquire of the status of our staff there and wanted them to know their concerns. I have worked most closely with Pei over the last few years and her team has helped us put together both an overseas program and a domestic program
They have worked tirelessly with various providers to get us the best rate and coverage available. In my years of working with numerous venders I have never experienced the pleasure of working with such a high-quality organization.”
