You can develop the configuration of your group coverage to fit your organization’s needs. If you are a multi-national organization and only want the group coverage for your German workers in South America, you can develop that kind of group. Or if you only want to insure American citizens working outside of the USA, you can do that too. Some organizations want to include everyone including national workers in the group policy. That is also okay. The entity to be insured needs to determine the parameters for the group. Then anyone who fits into those parameters can be included in the coverage. For example if a Mexican mission had 7 families working in Bosnia they could establish the Parameters: Mexican Nationals with ABC NGO Working in Bosnia. All Mexican workers then, with ABC NGO in Bosnia would be able to join the group coverage. Workers can also be of any age although it is advised to keep employees over the age of 65 off of the group health insurance coverage.
