Generally when you take out a group health insurance plan for your employees you will also have the option of applying for term life insurance. In fact most international companies require at least $10,000 of term life insurance on all employees in a group. Often this can be raised up to $50,000 or $100,000 or even more if the group wants that much coverage. This is a good option to keep in mind if you have employees in Africa. It is very difficult to get term life insurance in some African countries due to war, terrorist, Aids etc. With group health insurance the term life is “guarantee issue.” That is if you have group health insurance you will automatically have the option for term life coverage too.
