Interglobal International Medical Insurance FAQ And Answers

Go Back To Interglobal International Medical Insurance

Can a US citizen who chooses worldwide coverage live in the US full time and be on this plan?

Answer: No. The maximum time allowed is 180 continuous days’ stay in any one plan year (plan year = 12 months cover being an annually renewable plan)

Can a US citizen apply for this plan when they are in the US? If so how far in advance of their departure from the USA can they apply for this plan? Is there any restriction how long US citizens can be on these plans if they are living full time overseas.

Answer: Yes. No set time limit prior to departure. As long as the intention is to depart to an address outside of the USA for business / travel / residential purposes, cover can be justified. The best is if the applicant can supply his/her/their address outside of the USA where he/she/they intend locating to / residing, such will be extremely helpful and should remove any possible problems for cover purposes

How long can a non-US citizen (worldwide coverage) be on this plan in the USA?

Answer: No limit

If a person applies for Europe only would they have any coverage if the took a short trip to Asia?

Answer: Yes, but limited cover only. I would suggest the applicant adds on optional worldwide travel plan to run alongside the medical plan so as to fully insure him/her/them against any such a contingency.

With worldwide coverage excluding the USA is the USA the only country that is excluded? Would it cover someone in Canada?

Answer: Canada is covered
