Jakarta opened up a new airport terminal in the country of Indonesia

August 25, 2016 By : Administrator

Jakarta opened up a new airport terminal in the country of Indonesia.  Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia.  This is wonderful news for air travelers since Indonesia is one of the world’s fastest growing air travel markets.  The airport will be adding a third runway also which is currently under development.  All of these improvements will help airlines favor Jakarta as one of their South East Asian stopovers instead of just Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or Bangkok.

One of the things to remember when traveling outside your country of residency is travel medical insurance.  Good Neighbor Insurance provides a variety of these travel insurance plans at https://www.gninsurance.com/travel/#All_Plans.

Here is part of the article about Jakarta’s new airport terminal

The airport operator and government hopes the new terminal, and a third runway that is under development, will change that.

Budi Karya Sumadi, Indonesia’s transport minister and former president of the airport company, said “this terminal was built to change the image of the capital Jakarta.”

Soekarno-Hatta airport will be able to handle 62 million passengers a year once the renovated terminals are fully operational again in early 2018. The airport handled about 54 million passengers last year, making it the 18th busiest in the world, according to Airports Council International.
