Most of the following international health insurance plans provide $5,000,000 lifetime coverage, 80/20 co-insurance within the USA, no co-insurance outside the USA, PPO networks inside the USA and accept any doctor outside the USA. They include medical evacuation and deductibles of $250, $500, $1000, $2500, $5000. Dental is generally included for injury of natural teeth damaged due to an accident. In plans A, B C and G usual, reasonable and customary reimbursement rate is used for hospitalization, out-patient surgery and medical care. Prescription drugs are covered after the deductible is met.

PLAN A - Ctz (Also for non-Americans residing in the USA)

Also offers $250 and $10,000 deductible. Mental health disorders capped at $25,000 lifetime. Lifetime maximum for maternity is $50,000. Complicated delivery covered same as any other illness. Limited wellness coverage. Some organ transplants covered. Benefits cut 50 percent if company not pre-notified prior to receiving medical care. Limited life insurance option available. (25-29 year old with two children 9 or under, annual premium with a $1000 deductible = $2290)

PLAN B - GMMI (Also for non-Americans residing in the USA)

Limited transplants, must be covered in designated transplant facilities. Up to $5000,000 lifetime. First $300 covered for accidental injury. After 12 months, child wellness of $150 per policy period. Limited coverage of $5,000 per policy period for pre-existing conditions after 24 months on plan. $25,000 maximum for mental-nervous care. $250 wellness for adults 35 and over and after 12 months on policy. Limited coverage for complementary medicine, e.g., acupuncture, herbal therapy, etc. Chiropractic, radiation treatment, home nursing care, hospice care, physical therapy also covered. Limited life insurance an option. Maternity coverage / rider added for an extra $2500 per year. (25-29 year old with two children 9 or under, annual premium with a $1000 deductible = $1820. Coverage excluding USA and Canada = $1345. $2500 extra for maternity coverage)

PLAN C - RPW

Physiotherapy and chiropractic up to $75 a visit with lifetime maximum of $10,000 when referred by physician. Well child care up to $200 per policy period for checkup and routine visits after a 12 month waiting period. Limited coverage of $5,000 per policy period for pre-existing conditions after 24 months on plan. Life time maximum of $30,000 for mental nervous coverage. Medical evacuation is limited to $50,000. Preventive care benefit of up to $175 per policy period for medical checkups after 12 months on the policy. $10,000 life insurance for insured and spouse. $1,000,000 life-time transplant benefit per insured person. PLAN D - RW

More cost-effective international medical insurance plan than plans A-C. Coverage capped on medical care as follows: $600 per day for semi-private room, maximum 240 days; Intensive Care per day $1,500 for 180 consecutive days; Office visits $70 per consultation; various scans $600; X-rays, per exam $250; Laboratory, per exam $300, etc. Medical evacuation capped at $25,000; organ transplants at $250,000. More cost effective than Plans A-C and very similar to limits on coverage as in Plan D with these added benefits: Some well child care, medical evacuation of $50,000, extended care facility services, home nursing care, inpatient hospice care and return of mortal remains. Maternity rider costs an extra $2500 per year. Key disadvantage is that newborn care is limited to $15,000 for the first 30 days after birth. The plan is a bit less expensive than Plan D. (25-29 year old with two children 9 or under, annual premium with a $1000 deductible = $1170. Coverage excluding USA and Canada = $876. $2500 extra for maternity coverage)

This plan offers better benefits/coverage than RW or GMBI with premium rates similar to GMBI. There is limited maternity coverage, wellness for an annual physical exam, optional term life and dental insurance, up to one year of furlough coverage and 24-hour assistance with multilingual trained staff.
