WE RECOMMEND the GeoBlue Navigator health plan for all types of expats and long-term visa travelers. It’s great for overseas U.S. residents up to age 74 doing charitable work and includes coverage up to 9 months per year in the U.S. if needed. It is part of the BlueCross BlueShield network so it covers all regions, has excellent customer service, and offers many direct-pay agreements.

GeoBlue Xplorer is a similar plan for all other expatriates and individuals living or working overseas for more than one year.

Note: The Primary insured must be a U.S. resident or citizen to apply for this international insurance policy.

The GeoBlue Navigator health plan is renewable (long term) global expat health insurance for volunteers (both individuals and families), non-profit charitable staff, faith-based charities. It is an excellent choice of insurance for social entrepreneurs and social good companies.

GeoBlue Xplorer is a similar plan for all other expatriates and individuals living or working overseas for more than one year.

A BENEFIT-RICH “INSURANCE FOR VOLUNTEERS” PLAN FEATURING A “NOT-FOR-PROFIT” PRICE

Specifically designed as insurance for volunteers. For those on the field as missionaries, charitable workers, NGO’s, and other not for profit and non-profit organizations in need of global expat health insurance with unlimited U.S. coverage. It also is a great choice for Social Good companies and social business.

  • The Eligible member must be scheduled to reside outside the U.S. for at least 3 months each policy year.
  • Office Visit co-pays of $30/in Network in the U.S. and $10 outside the U.S.(limited to 8 per person per year).
  • Deductible is waived for outpatient office visits with contracted physicians.
  • Administered using HIPAA guidelines
  • Pre-existing conditions are covered after 12 month. Waiting period can be waived with proof of prior creditable coverage.
  • No exclusion for specified conditions in the first 6 months
  • No waiting period associated with any preventative services
  • Includes $5000 prescription benefit not subject to deductible or co-insurance.
  • Maternity coverage as any other medical condition with the maternity rider added on (after 1 year)
  • Children automatically accepted when enrolled within 31 days of birth or adoption
  • If you have a family member who is ineligible, the rest of the family can still apply.
