WEA Signature and full-time college students are a match made in Heaven! WEA Signature international medical career insurance is one of favorite long term insurance plans for expats. The WEA Signature plan provides international medical insurance for those residing outside their country of residents. Thus a Brazilian citizen living in Singapore will be able to apply for this career insurance plan. Or a Chinese citizen residing in Malaysia may also be covered throughout the world including Malaysia (but not in China). You may view more about this expat medical career insurance plan at https://www.gninsurance.com/wea-signature/.
Our underwriters at WEA have explained to our international insurance agents, here at Good Neighbor Insurance, how full-time college students may stay on the WEA Signature policy. Here is what they stated: For those currently on the WEA Signature policy – the policy holder can keep full-time college students covered with their family, if they are financially dependent on them to age 23, on the family policy. If it is a new WEA Signature application, the family will have to complete a paper / online application. The rates/premiums are based according to age. For example, if 18, the dependent child rate/premium, but if over 18, then single rate/premium.
Here is some additional information on one of the three WEA Signature career medical insurance plans one may apply for:
- 5 deductible options, and 2 areas of coverage available
- Two youngest children under 10 covered at no charge as long as both parents are on the policy
- Capped medical coverage
- No child and adult wellness covered
- Capped maternity coverage
- Emergency evacuation per policy period of $50,000
